Is Your Normal Biblical?

People are trying desperately to find real truth. They have been deceived into seeking truth based upon what our media says is right, or what politics says is right, or what science or our culture says is right. Many have even sought truth based upon what they 'feel' is right! Because they have been deceived by these false sources of truth, ultimately they are led deeper into bondage and destruction rather than the freedom they desire.

My friend, you cannot run away from the fact that what you have accepted as truth in your life will greatly affect the way you live. Satan uses the power of his lies to control people. John 8:44 tells us, "You belong to your father, the devil, (Jesus is talking to the hypocritical and religious leaders of His day) and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

Now, we as believers need to realize that only God can determine what truth is. In John 17:17 Jesus said, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” God’s Word reveals what truth is according to God. If you want your life to be built upon truth then you have you build your life upon the Word of God. So many things that Christians have accepted as normal is actually not normal when judged in the light of God’s Word. So let me challenge you to ask this question to yourself today: Is what you have accepted as normal in your life really Biblical? Have you accepted some things as normal just because the world we live in says it is? For example: - I have met many believers who think that worry and depression is a normal part of life. Some believe fear is normal or that defeat, sickness, poverty, and confusion are just part of life. I have also met believers who believe that it is normal to have a bad marriage. Now, when we look at life through the Word of God, we will soon find out that all these things contradict the revelation of God’s Word! God’s Word says that Jesus defeated sin, sickness, fear, Satan, and poverty at the cross for us! In 1 John 5:4, the bible teaches us that anyone who is born again has the ability to overcome the world. According to the Word of God, victory in every area is supposed to be normal for every believer. The problem is not that God is withholding victory from us but we are not putting our faith in what Christ has accomplished for us at the cross. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came to give us an abundant life. Stop accepting defeat as normal. Rise up in faith and say NO to what the devil is trying to do in your life. Say by faith, “God says I am healed. I accept that as truth. God says I am more than a conqueror. I accept that as truth. God says He has a good plan for me. I accept that as truth. God says I am blessed. I accept that as truth!”

When you believe God’s Word in a radical way, the world may say you are really abnormal. But who cares! In God’s eyes you are absolutely normal! Hallelujah!
