It was the year 2003, while living in Bangkok, Pastors Nathan and Salila Gonmei had a God-given vision to make an eternal difference in Thailand.

After much waiting on clear directions from the Lord, in May 2004 they moved to the Northern City of Chiangmai armed only with the God-given vision and the revelation of faith and God’s grace.

Through various divine interventions and favors, on July 11, 2004 AGC was launched! The first service was attended by about 20 adults. It was in a small building on Hangdong road with few plastic chairs, one speaker, two microphones, one guitar, and few table fans.

As the Word of God moved in the hearts of the people, the church grew and moved its services to the YMCA International Hotel.

Services were held at the YMCA until August 2009 when a rapidly growing membership, faith, and obedience to God's Word enabled the church to move to a larger facility at the Shangrila Hotel.

Today, with weekly attendance of about 400 adults and 80-100 kids, AGC continues to grow and fulfill the vision of proclaiming the Gospel of God’s grace without any compromise or dilution.

From the beginning, we have seen Abundant Grace Church as a local church with a powerful influence. Our vision and purpose have been focused on reaching the Thai urban community. Our message can be summarized as one of abundant life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and through faith in the amazing Gospel of the finished work of Jesus Christ
